Foreword to Furman University.

Foreword :a short introduction to a book, typically by a person other than the author.
For me, this is an introduction to the next chapter of my life and a reflection of the people and memories that have shaped me.
Recently , I made my commitment to Furman University. I plan to major in French and Music and minor in Linguistics .
I can’t wait to form new friendships and pursue new adventures. But, I couldn’t have made it this far without the encouragement and support of family and friends. Nor without the hand of God. He is the one who creates these moments. Moments of growth, love, joy, challenges, and victories.
From Cape Girardeau , Missouri to Charleston, South Carolina to Crestwood, Kentucky , this has been a whirlwind of a journey. I wouldn’t trade any of it for anything. I’ve met people who’ve become part of me and have given me the gift of getting to be a part of them. I have lived and learned with them. I couldn’t imagine a life without them.
I’ve traveled across the country and had the privilege of traveling to Europe. Seeing and experiencing the world on a new level. Connecting with people and learning from them. Observing their culture and values. No matter where I go, I’ll be proud of where I’m from and my place in this world. I am proud of the “American Dream” I’ve been building. Now, it’s time to go “Foreword to Furman” and continue the dream. On to Greenville, South Carolina!
In Romans 12:2 (NLT), the Lord directs us: "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”
Can’t wait to meet the rest of my Furman family this fall! Go Paladins!
